methinks it's time for another one of these : 5 Things That I Am Grateful For

[1] Olivia Lamb's e.mail, offering to answer any questions i had about women's refuges. however she couldn't authorise a visit to the refuge, for security and privacy reasons which is totally okay because...
[2] ...Ben's going to be the photographer for the official opening of AlRatna, a women's shelter in Salak, so i can experience said shelter vicariously through his photographs.
[3] the oppurtunity to catch up with Dennis & Darlina last night for dinner
[4] my headphones, which i absolutely love; and
[5] the water heater has been nice to me for the past 3 weeks now, giving me lovely just-nicely-warm showers, and not attempting to boil me alive. i knew we'd settle our differences.

...because sometimes you just need to remind yourself that while you're caught up in the dreariness of it all, life sometimes throws you a bone or two, and if you're not careful you might just not realise that it's there.
